Future Past, 2017

Stop motion animation
Minutes 5:03

Ezra Wube’s work references the notion of past and present. His videos, which have a stop-motion effect generated from photos of continually re-worked paintings, delve into the history and changing landscape of cities around the world. In Future Past, Wube captured the unique character of man-made Miami Beach, from its origins as a mangrove swamp to its Art Deco heyday and the neon-nightlife playground of today.
